I am a US citizen living in Washington state. I have a TD Canada Trust (Canadian dollar) chequing account which I opened in person at a Surrey, B.C. branch. I would like to open a (US dollar) checking account with TD Bank, to facilitate easy transfers between US dollar and Canadian dollar accounts. I attempted to open a TD Bank account online but it will only allow me to enter my address in one of the states where you have physical branches, which regrettably does not include Washington state. Is it possible for me to have a TD Bank checking account if I am a US citizen living in a state where you do not have a branch? How?
