Thanks for reaching us on TD Helps, Charles. We'd be happy to help.
If TD Bank is listed as the lien holder, you are able to obtain this documentation via fax. Please fax the following information to our Consumer Release Department at 207-755-4245:
• Your full name, address, and Social Security number
• The account number, if it is available
• The year, make, model and VIN, and the date it was paid off, if available
• Your request for Discharge Papers/Release of Lien
• Your signature
We also recommend including your best contact number and your return fax number so that we can assist you as efficiently as possible. Please keep in mind that this request may take up to 3-5 business days.
Should you like any assistance during this process, please contact a dedicated Financial Solutions Group Representative directly at 800-937-5020, and select Option 2. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience. You may also stop in to any of our convenient store locations for help. Please see: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find our Stores nearest you.
Please note that if your Auto Loan was financed via TD Auto Finance, please contact a TD Auto Finance Representative for instructions to obtain your Release of Lien. They are available Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm at 1-800-556-8172 to help you.
We hope this helps, Charles and have a good day.
