We appreciate you reaching out to us today on TD Helps.
As you stated that you are not currently a Customer with TD Bank, to apply for a Credit Card, you'll want to visit a TD Bank Store during lobby hours. If you plan on being in the area, feel free to look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a listing of locations and hours.
Being that you are currently located outside of our TD footprint, you may apply for a TD Credit Card if you first decide to open an account with TD Bank. Here at TD Bank, we offer several different types of Checking and Savings accounts. To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for your custom recommendation. To view and compare Savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best Savings account for your needs.
Once you have decided on the best account for your banking needs, you may visit a TD Bank Store or call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
Once the account is opened, you may mail your initial deposit to the following address:
TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day.
If you need to Fed-EX or UPS a mail in a Deposit to us, you can ship it to the address below:
TD Bank, Bank by Mail 140 Mill Street Lewiston ME 04243
We recommend visiting http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ to learn more about our funds availability policy starting on page 38. Also keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only")
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions
You will then receive your new account information which includes your account number and your TD Debit Card, if you requested one, via mail within 7-10 business days. Please note, delays may occur depending on your postal office.
Once your new account is active and has been funded, you may then wish to apply for our TD Credit Card online by selecting this link: http://bit.ly/1qRnByN. On this page, you will be able to review the features of each credit card TD Bank offers. If you prefer, you could also contact our Credit Card Specialists 24/7 at 1-888-561-8861 and they'd be happy to answer any additional questions and take your application.
After successfully submitting your TD Bank Visa Credit Card application, the decision will be issued to you in writing. This letter will be mailed to you approximately 7-10 business days from the date of your application is received. If you are approved, the credit card will normally be mailed to your address on file within 7-10 business days.
Thanks for considering us and have a great day!
