I'm having difficulty depositing a US Postal money order via the mobile app.
Dark, non-reflective background, check flat, no creases, check within gridlines.
I've never had a problem before depositing checks and I'm getting an error with this money order after several attempts.
Both my IOS and TD app are up-to-date.
I was told by a TD Manager that as long as I waited 48 hours, I will have no problem depositing a postal money order.
Please advise, very frustrating.

Thanks for coming by TD Helps, Shawn. We are sorry to hear about your mobile deposit difficulties and would be glad to help provide details.
Although you are able to deposit Money Orders through TD Bank's Mobile Deposit; please take into consideration that it may be difficult to capture a readable image of a Money Order via Mobile Deposit. There are security features within the background of Money Orders that can trip up image processing systems used by this feature. For that reason, we do recommend depositing the Money Order at any TD Bank location during lobby hours to ensure the promptness of the deposit. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a Store near you.
We invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1e3jiYF for more information along with the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for TD Bank Mobile Deposit. The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day.
If you need to Fed-EX or UPS a mail in a Deposit to us, you can ship it to the address below:
TD Bank, Bank by Mail 140 Mill Street Lewiston ME 04243
Also keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail - Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same - Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only") - Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed - Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy - If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly - Do not staple transactions
For more information on funds availability and deposits that may be applied for additional verification, please see our Personal Deposit Account Agreement at http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ.
