Hello Howard! Thanks for connecting with us on TD Helps this afternoon.
We would like to share with you some details regarding our TD Go Reloadable Prepaid Card. TD Go is a reloadable prepaid card that gives the teens the freedom of making their own purchases, online or at a store, and it is accepted wherever Visa debit and credit cards are accepted. It also gives the parents the ability to set boundaries for the teens' spending. For more information on the TD GO card, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1d2j6OJ.
The account owner must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid U.S. address to purchase and register the Card. The Cardholder must be at least thirteen (13) years of age in order to be authorized to use the Card. If you are interested in getting a card for your teen or if you would like to send one as a gift, you can do so by visiting this link: http://bit.ly/1jWLKzt to take you to the "Enrollment" page. Please select the "Enrollment Type" and select "Continue". You will then be asked to create your profile and a series of questions will be asked. Once you've created a profile, you will then be able to add your teen by selecting the "Adding a Teen" button. You will need to provide the teen's information and fund the card.
Also, someone under the age of 18, may open a joint Checking or Savings account with an adult by visiting any TD Bank Store. Please understand minors are unable to open an account online; however, you and your grandchild may visit any one of our TD Bank Stores to open an account. Feel free to check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a location near you. At TD Bank, we offer a wide array of accounts and we invite you to visit the below links for more information. For checking account information please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1dbAcWh. For more information on savings account you may click: http://bit.ly/1o4wfc4.
For full-time students, a Student Checking account may work. To learn more about our Student Checking account, which includes no monthly maintenance fee or minimum daily balance for students under the age of 24, please visit http://bit.ly/S8Vejp.
We can instantly issue Visa debit cards in our stores from Maine to Florida, which will immediately be active for purchases. Being that you are under the age of 18, if a joint account will be opened, a Visa debit card can be issued as long as there is verbal consent of the adult on your new account.
We hope this answers your questions, but please do not hesitate to reply if you think of anything else.
Have a great day!
