Hi David, thanks for visiting TD Helps! We understand your desire to get the best exchange rate and are happy to help.
As exchange rates fluctuate quickly, we can advise you to call TD International Services at 888-BNG-INTL (888-264-4685) for more information or you can send them an email by visiting here: http://bit.ly/1pvwJIu. The information provided to you would apply for your currency exchange at a TD Bank Store location.
Please keep in mind that the exchange rate you would receive at an ATM is not set by the bank. Foreign exchange rates are published by the government and fluctuate daily, and Customers will pay the VISA exchange rate at the time of an ATM withdrawal. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your debit card out of the country.
You mentioned you have a TD Premier Checking Account, we are happy to inform you, one of the features of having this Account is that non-TD fees may be reimbursed when minimum daily balance is met. For more information, please see here: http://bit.ly/1o9fvnm. If you have any further questions or concerns, we invite you to contact us directly.
We also suggest contacting us about a week prior to your trip to let us know the dates and location(s) of your travel, to avoid any card acceptance issues once you arrive. This can be done by calling a friendly Customer Service Representative 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000, or at any local TD Bank Store. Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores if you'd like to visit one near you. You may also add the travel notes by sending us a secure message via Online Banking. If you’re not currently enrolled for Online Banking, you may sign up by viewing this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, debit card number and Social Security number to get started. Once you're logged in please click on the "Customer Service" tab and then "Send a Message." In your message please include dates and destinations of your travels.
We hope this helps today, David! Let us know of any other questions and have a great trip!
