Thanks for visiting us on TD Helps, Peggy.

We'd like to let you know that there are several ways to open an account with us: online, over the phone, or in person. Once you've decided on which account is best for you, you can open the account via the internet by clicking on the "Open Account" box which will be listed at the bottom of each account details. To get started, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number and ID (Driver's license, State ID, or Passport). To make a first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit. If you prefer to open it over the phone, please call Customer Service at 1-888-751-9000, available 24/7, and we will be happy to help you open the account. Once the account is opened, you will have 30 business days to make your first deposit.
Additionally, you have the option of visiting us at your local TD Bank Store to open an account. If you choose this option, you will need to make an initial deposit to the account you selected. There would not be a minimum requirement to open the account; however, some accounts have requirements in order to have certain fees waived. We would encourage you to review the links above prior to visiting a Store. For a lisiting of TD Bank Stores, please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps and please do not hesitate to come back again if you have any further questions!
