Thank you for reaching us on TD Helps, Gloria. We'd be glad to point you in the right direction.
We understand how important it is to know your balance when you have payments that you need to make and there are many ways to check your account and confirm what is available. Please know that we would like to assist you directly however TD Helps is considered an unsecured forum and we do not have access to your account/personal information. Don't worry though, we have some great options for you to check your balance below.
The first option available is by contacting our 24/7 automated system by dialing 888-751-9000. The automated system will ask you for your account number or ATM/Visa Debit Card number, and if this is your first time accessing the automated system, the phone code it prompts you to enter will be the last four digits of your Social Security Number. Please note, you will be required to change this phone code from the last four numbers of your SSN to a unique 4 digit number of your choice. Once you verify your account via the automated system, you will be able to retrieve your available account balance.
You also have the option, if you'd prefer, to speak with a live Banking Specialist anytime 24/7 at 888-751-9000. When you call, just press "0" at any time to be connected to a Representative. After account verification, our Representatives will be glad to review your account balance.
Another option available is checking your balance via Online Banking. You can log into your account and view balances, make transfers, and more! We invite you to view http://bit.ly/1lnLZE5 for more information on some of the benefits of Online Banking.
If you are already enrolled for Online Banking, you may log in by visiting here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq.
If you are not currently enrolled, you can sign up by taking a look here http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number, Social Security Number and email address to sign up.
Another option that may interest you is use one of our TD Bank ATM's or TD Stores. When checking your balance through an ATM, all you have to do is insert your Debit Card, then provide your 4-digit PIN, and then press the "Balance inquiry" option. You can also use Non-TD ATMs to check your balance, for information on fees for Non-TD ATMs, check out http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. Also note that ATMs do not register all transactions that may be pending against the account (ex: gas, credit card payments, and other checks or bills). When visiting a TD Store, a Teller at the drive-up window or one in the lobby behind the counter can assist you with your balance. You will need to provide a valid form of identification to obtain account information and make withdraws from the desired account.
Lastly, you have the option of confirming your available balance by stopping into your nearest TD Bank Store and speak with a Specialist. Please find your nearest TD Store or TD ATM location here http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope these options help, Gloria and have a good afternoon.
