What time does the bank close in terms of processing of transaction is carried out the next day? Or is there any way for the delay to be done purposely?

Hi CKK. Thanks for coming to TD Helps with your question!
Depending on the type of transaction you've made, the processing and posting may vary.
Checks and ACHs (electronic transactions using your account and routing number) are posted for the day that they are presented for payment. We are unable to hold these payments for any period of time.
Anytime you make a purchase using your debit card, it will initially show in your pending transactions and will remain there until the merchant collects the funds. Once the funds are collected, we're able to post the transaction to your account. Because the collection of funds is determined by the merchant, we're unable to expedite or delay this process.
If you have any questions about a transaction that has been presented, we'd be happy to take a look at it with you. Don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000. You can also stop into a local TD Bank Store to speak with us in person. To find a Store near you, click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope this information is helpful. Have a great day!
