How can I transfer money from my account to another person's TD bank account online?

At this time, we offer a totally free service called Send Money!
Send Money is a totally free service for Person-to-Person transfers! The two delivery options are available through either your TDBank.com online account or via the TD Bank Mobile app.
Instant option – this convenient choice sends funds to the recipient immediately! A TD Debit Card linked to your account is required for this option. The transactions done this way are counted toward your daily Debit Card limits.
There is also an optional 3-Day Transfer- no Debit Card is required for this choice.
It's easy to sign up for Send Money with the steps below! Note- it will be necessary to re-enroll if you used our previous 3rd party Person-to-Person provider.
To start, you'll first want to log into your Online Banking or Mobile Application. Feel free to use the link here https://go.td.com/1eaISlq to do so. If you're not yet enrolled in Online Banking, don't worry! You may enroll by using the link here https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security Number, ATM or Debit Card Number, account number, and a unique U.S. email address in order to do so. For transfers initiated through Online Banking:
1. Log in to TD Online Banking
2. Select 'Send Money'.
3. Ensure your email address shown is correct.
4. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
5. If you sign up with your mobile number, select text or call to receive a verification code. If you sign up using your email we'll send you a verification code by email.
6. Enter the code to verify your email address or mobile number.
7. We'll show your accounts that are eligible for Instant Transfer. Just choose the one you wish to use.
For transfers initiated through the TD Bank app:
1. Tap 'Send Money' from the quick links or the transfers screen.
2. Log in to the TD app.
Then follow steps 3 to 7 as shown above.
It is very important to be sure that you have mobile notifications enabled for TD Bank.
If you sign up with your email and don't receive a verification code, please check your e-mail Spam folder.
If you experience difficulties utilizing Send Money, we recommend reaching out to a Tech Support Specialist 24/7 at 800-493-7562 so they may troubleshoot any issues directly.

If you need to send a larger amount than Send Money allows, you are able to complete this transaction by visiting a TD Store during lobby hours.
