We are happy to inform you that with our new feature Person-to-Person; you can send money to a family or friend anywhere within the Unites States! You'll be able set up your contacts with any or all of these delivery methods enabled: E-mail address, Mobile Phone Number (for text message delivery) or account number. To use this feature, you must be enrolled for Online Banking. If you have not enrolled yourself, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. If you do not have a debit or ATM card, please call our 24/7 Online Specialist at 1-800-493-7562 to enroll.
After you have successfully enrolled for Online Banking and once you're logged in please click on the tab at the top of the page titled "Person-to-Person Payments." You will then be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you. Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to send the payment! You will have the three business day option and the option to send the payment with the next business day delivery. Please note, the next day delivery option is not available for savings accounts. Also, to qualify for the next day delivery option, you must wait 90 days from your first successful 3-day transfer and must not have had any transactions that overdrew your account in the past 90 days. Please keep in mind, Person-to-Person Payments can only be conducted to or from a U.S. account in U.S. currency only. They can only be made from an Eligible Transaction Account: for example, personal Checking, Money Market or Savings accounts are usually allowed, with you as a signer on the account. Please note, accounts excluded from using this service due to ACH restrictions include, but are not limited to: Passbook, IRA, Holiday Club, Club Saver, and CDs.
