Thanks for coming by TD Helps, Rebecca. We'd be glad to help.
Based on your inquiry, it sounds like you are looking to remove a signer from a joint account. If so, we'd like to let you know that on a joint account, both signers have equal rights and access to that account. This means that neither signer can be removed from the account, if you do not wish to continue to share the account, the account must be closed. Once the account is closed, the individual may open a new personal account to which the other will not have access to. In order to close a joint personal account, only one signer is required to submit this request.
If you decide to open a new account, we currently offer many ways in which you can open a new account with TD Bank. You can open the account online by selecting the "Open Account" box located beneath each specific Account by following this link: http://bit.ly/WrwMg7 . You could also contact us at 1 (888) 751-9000 to speak with our Banking Specialists who are available 24/7 for your convenience. If you prefer, you may stop by any TD Store for further assistance on opening an Account. To find the nearest TD Bank Store please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores. You may have your joint account closed and new individual account opened all at the same time.
In order to remove your name from a Business account, it is required that all signers on the account visit a TD Bank Store and provide their signatures to remove you from the account.
If you would like to discuss this further with a Banking Specialist, feel free to contact us 24/7 at the same number listed above.
We hope this helps, Rebecca. If you are inquiring about something else, please let us know by selecting the "Reply" link.
Have a great day!

Thank you for responding. The situation is actually that a Revocable Trust was set up and I want to transfer my account into the name of trust. Is there a special process to do this?

We appreciate you reaching back out to us, Rebecca. We'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
In some cases, it is possible to change a Personal account into a Trust account; however, in some cases, the Personal account may need to be closed and re-opened as a Trust account with a new account number. We recommend connecting with your local TD Store location to confirm if this may be possible in your case. To find the nearest TD Bank Store please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores. Also, please note that we would require all Authorized Signers of the Trust and yourself be present, as well as have accompanying Trust documentation to complete your request. We recommend confirming with the Store prior to your visit what particular documents may be necessary.
We hope that this helps out, Rebecca!
