It is a pleasure to have you here on TD Helps, Geofrey.
We'd like to first mention our External Transfer service which is one of our newest features on www.tdbank.com. External Transfers are used if you're sending money between your personal account with TD Bank and your account at another Financial Institution. This option is available via Online Banking and you're welcome to send or receive money using this service. Kindly note that in order to be eligible to use this service, you must have a United States address, a unique United States phone number, a United States issued Social Security number and a valid unique email address. You must also be enrolled for Online Banking and be using a personal TD Bank Checking, Savings or Money Market account for the transfer.
This option is available via Online Banking. To use this feature you must be enrolled in Online Banking. If you are signed up already please click here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq to log in. If you are not currently enrolled and wish to do so for your personal accounts, you may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. You will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
If you do not have the required information to set up for Online Banking or you need assistance enrolling, you may contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you started.
Once you've successfully enrolled and after you log in, please choose the "Transfers" tab and click on the "Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank." You would have to add your account at a different institution. To do so, select "Add a New Account." You will then be prompted to select the type of account followed by the account and routing numbers. Once you enter the required fields, the transfer service will then display whether or not you can make an immediate transfer. In some cases, a trial deposit is initiated at the receiving institution for verification purposes. You’re welcome to check out http://bit.ly/1pADlWD for all of the exciting details. To qualify for the next day delivery option, you must wait 90 days from your first successful 3-day transfer and must not have had any transactions that overdrew your account in the past 90 days.
You may also send wires to any bank within the country and across the globe! If your brokerage account is within the US, you will need to gather the name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number.
If you'll be sending an international wire, please review additional information on sending these at http://bit.ly/1oowsYN. When you are ready to send your international wire transfer, you will need to provide the foreign bank our SWIFT address, which is NRTHUS33XXX, as well as obtain their SWIFT address, which you can obtain by contacting the institution directly.
Please note that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender.
Kindly keep in mind also that some transactions may take longer than others. You may want to contact the other financial institution to determine what information they require to receive the wire. Please note that wire transfers can only be scheduled at a TD Bank location during lobby hours. For lobby hour information and locations near you please take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Please also note that there may be fees for the use of the above services. We invite you to take a look at our Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt .
Lastly, you may contact your other financial institution directly to determine if they can request to retrieve funds from TD Bank via ACH.
Thanks for stopping by again and have a wonderful day.
