Where to begin...
I am a US Citizen living in Hong Kong with my wife (Chinese). I have a TD Bank account. My wife recently found some old American Express Traveler's Checks from years ago. They are in Australian Dollars. They are signed with her maiden name and in Kanji.
As she has no plans to return to Australia, and we are having headaches trying to cash them here in Hong Kong, I was curious to know, if my wife signs them (on the bottom left as required) and makes them payable to me, would I be able to present them at the TD Branch where I opened my account (or any TD Branch in the USA) for deposit? Would she have to be with me or is this something I can do on my own?
