Hey, Carlos, welcome to TD Helps. We'd be happy to help!
To avoid any interruptions to your TD Debit Card usage, to place a travel notification on your account, you can call us, visit us during lobby hours, or even send us a secure message via your TD Online Banking. Whichever is more convenient for you!
To inform us via telephone, you can do so by calling our Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000, 24/7. After account verification, our Specialists would be more than happy to help!
If you have not left for Panama and are able to, you can visit us at any TD Store, during lobby hours, for additional help. To locate the nearest TD Store, check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Additionally, if you are enrolled in Online Banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the travel notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) you will be traveling. If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and email address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu. If you have any questions or need to contact us while you are traveling internationally, you can reach us at (856)-751-9000. Additionally, you can call collect from a landline at (215)-569-0518.
We hope this helps. Carlos. Enjoy your trip to Panama and have a great weekend!
