Thanks for writing us on TD Helps today. We will be sure to point you in the right direction with placing a Travel Notification on your ATM/debit card, to ease your banking needs while you are abroad.
We appreciate you taking the time out to write us. As we would like to assist you directly with placing a travel notification on your accounts, unfortunately, we do not have access to your personal information since this considered an unsecured site.
To best assist you, please contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 to have a Banking Specialist place a travel notification on your accounts. If you already are traveling abroad, you can reach us 24/7 at 856-751-9000 via mobile telephone or calling us collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518.
You may also send us a Secured Message through your Online Banking. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the "Message Center." If you have not enrolled, please call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with our Banking Specialists.
If you are enrolled for our BusinessDirect online banking, you may use this link to logon http://bit.ly/1rvBmq8 and send a secure message. If you chose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destination, and if there will be any connecting flight if applicable.
We'd also like to share with you, your TD ATM/ Visa Debit Card, is convenient and rewarding- so you can shop and bank with confidence. You can use your debit card at millions on locations that accept VISA across the globe.
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit: http://bit.ly/1fO8wKy. Additionally, each withdrawal, transfer, and balance inquiry made by a TD Customer at an ATM not owned by TD is subject to a $3.00 fee, which is charged by TD Bank the same business day the transaction is made. The owner of the machine or network may also assess a fee at the time of your transaction, including a fee for balance inquiries, in addition to any fees assessed by TD Bank. The amount of the fee charged by the owner of the ATM may vary and will show on the screen as you're making your transaction.
If you use an ATM while out of the United States, there will be no additional fees charged by TD Bank, aside from the ones mentioned above. We invite you to take a look at our fee schedule found here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. Please note that fees are subject to change.
If you have any additional questions feel free to submit another inquiry, visit a TD location or call us at the number provided above to speak with a Banking Specialist. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
We hope this helps, Ronald. We hope you have a wonderful and safe trip!
