Hi Pam, thanks so much for your question on TD Helps today.
If you have a Home Equity Loan with TD Bank and you need to discharge a portion of the property from the lien, you're welcome to mail or fax us a request, or call one of our Financial Solutions Group Specialists 24/7 at 800-937-5020 to begin the process. For approval of your request, TD Bank will need to determine if the remaining portion of the property will be able to support your existing loan.
If you'd prefer to correspond with us via mail or fax, please send your initial request for a partial release to the following:
207-755-4284, Attn: Contract Change Department
Or, mail to:
TD Bank, NA
32 Chestnut Street
Lewiston ME 04240
Attn: Contract Change Department
Once we receive this request, a letter will be sent to you indicating the specific documents we'll need from you. Please note that fees may apply; you'll be advised of any in the letter we'll send and they will be due at the time you provide the required documentation to us. In addition, if an appraisal is needed it will be requested by TD Bank and is paid for by the Customer.
For assistance, you're also welcome to place your request at any TD Bank Store location, and please find a local listing here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Please note that if your request is due to a land swap or conservation easement, we'd recommend contacting a Specialist at the number mentioned above for a different set of instructions.
We hope this is the information you were looking for, Pam and let us know about any other questions you have.
Kristen P, Mount Laurel
