Thanks for reaching out to us here in the United States, Susan. We're sorry to hear you're having trouble and we're happy to help.
As you are a Canadian resident, when selecting your region from the Home Equity Line of Credit page of our website, once you select "I'm a Canadian resident" you must then select the closest state to you prior to clicking "Go." Noticing you're writing in from Nova Scotia, once you select "I'm a Canadian resident," in the drop down box that says "Select a State" please select Maine and then the closest town to your location and then select "Go." Please note to apply for a Home Equity Line of Credit in the U.S. you must have an address in the United States.
If you continue to experience trouble, we ask that you give our Financial Solutions Group a call 24/7 at 800-937-5020. We will be happy to go over information on Home Equity Lines of Credit.
If you are interested in a Home Equity Line of Credit with TD Canada Trust please check out: http://bit.ly/1Htzfda for more information.
We hope this helps, Susan and have a wonderful day.
