I'm trying to link my TD checking account, with a brokerage account, online. I was locked out of my TD account, on the initial submission of my TD checking account information. Why did this occur?

We're sorry to hear that you've locked out, Veola. We'd be glad to help.
We're glad to inform you that TD Bank Online Banking should allow for third party access from your brokerage account. If you've gotten locked out while attempting to link the two, we should be able to quickly unlock it for you. You may even be able to do it yourself through online banking.
To start, log into your online banking by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you're able to log in using your username and password as normal, the issue may be with the brokerage site. If that's the case, we recommend attempting to link the two again. If you continue to be able to successfully log into the TD Bank Online Banking, but not through the third party, we recommend contacting your broker to troubleshoot.
If when logging into our site, you find that you're locked out, we can help. When allowing a third party site access to your online banking, the most common issue can be a security question. If so, we can remove the troublesome question and you can add a new one or change all three, so you're able to successfully link the two.
