From your description, it sounds like your log in page is flashing, which is usually an issue with the browser being used. We'd first recommend that you clear the browser's cache and cookies, disable any plug-ins and restore your browser defaults. If this doesn't correct the problem and you're not using the newest version of your browser, we suggest making this update.
