Hello! I have a student checking account which will convert to a convenience account by the time I am 24. But my account is inactive as I have not used the account for 3 years since I have opened it up. Because my balance is below the minimum requirement of $100 required to avoid the monthly fee of 15$, could my account go into negative balance (where I am in debt to the bank) or will the account be closed automatically if it remains un-used for so long? Many thanks.

Thank you for your help. My home store was the 98 Lewiston St, Mechanic Falls branch but because that had closed I had got into touch with the nearest branch in Auburn, ME. They were very happy to help and I will be sending my written request to them in due course. I very much appreciate your help. Have a lovely day yourself.
