I attempted to open a TD Bank account online. I provided public info - phone number, drivers license and address and I received the error - We were unable to validate your identity. We can’t find you in the public record. Please advise.

Thanks for getting in touch with us today and we're happy to hear that you're interested in a new account with us!
We apologize for any trouble you may have had when attempting to open your account online. So that you're aware, we do use a multi-factor verification process during account opening which can use your credit file information, to protect your identity.
If you received the error message you mentioned and couldn’t get any further with your application, we would recommend stepping inside any TD Store near you during our lobby hours. When you visit, we'll be able to verify your identity using your ID instead and will be more than glad to help you get your new account set up. Please just bring a valid photo ID such as a Driver's License, State ID, or Passport and your Social Security number so we can get you started. You're welcome to find a Store with lobby hours near you right here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We do hope this will help, Michael.
Thanks again for choosing TD and we hope to see you soon!
