What happens if a customer has say $100 dollars in their checking account ...they have dinner and pay $60....the merchant/restaurant incorrectly charges the customer twice in error..2 different amounts... one for $60 and another mistakenly for $80.... now the incorrect amount causes your account to go over.. and also.... then 2 small bills go through your account at the same time which now causes 2 more bouncers.....who is responsible for the bouncer fees because of this mistake? The customer didn't do anything wrong but go have a nice dinner and pay the $60 which they do have in their account and is correct....why should a customer incur over $140 in bouncer fees for this?

Hi there Mike,
Thanks for writing in and we apologize to hear about any trouble you had with a duplicate charge.
If you've had an issue with a merchant, typically we'd ask that you first get in touch with the company directly to resolve any issue. If you've done this and haven't been able to resolve the problem, then please reach out to us and we'll be able to file a dispute on your behalf. If the dispute is found in your favor, then usually any related fees are also refunded at the resolution of the claim.
We'll be happy to assist you further when we chat – please call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 so we can check on this in better detail for you and best advise you about what you can expect. If you'd like to talk to us in person, you can also stop in to any of our Stores listed here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps a bit, Mike.
We look forward to talking with you about this so please call or stop by.
Thanks again and we wish you a great upcoming weekend.
