I pulled my credit report last week and found that in April 2014 someone opened a Target credit card in my name. How can i have this unauthorized account removed from my credit report?

Thanks for getting in touch with us, Brian and sorry to hear about any possibility of an unauthorized card. We can certainly point you in the right direction to resolve this.
The Federal Trade Commission provides this page: http://1.usa.gov/1f6utCg which lists the steps you'll want to take to dispute this error. First, you'll want to report the incorrect info to the credit reporting company and information on how to do this is given there.
The other step would be to report this error to us, TD Bank, and you may review the info listed here: http://bit.ly/1riK35l, to do so. Please be sure to follow all of the steps listed on this page, and for a credit card issued by Target, as we are the servicing bank please use the contact information in the Target Credit Card Dispute section.
You may also wish to see: http://bit.ly/1uLQxMu for our Frequently Asked Questions about this process.
For any questions you may have, reach out to us on 888-751-9000, 24/7 or come see us at any TD Bank Store, and we'll be glad to help. Our locations and hours can be found here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Hope this helps you get started, Brian. Best of luck with this process and take care.
