I live in the US and work in the US so my money is in USD. I go to school in Canada and am living in an apartment and will have to make checks out in CAD. If I were to write a check for $300 for the rent would it be in CAD or USD and if it is in USD then is there a way for me to write a check in CAD even if the money in my account is in USD?

Welcome to TD Helps, Maggie. We'd be glad to clarify.
Please know that any checks written from a TD Bank U.S. account will be in U.S. dollars. We are unable to alter this at this time.
Our TD Stores offer international bank drafts that can be in foreign currencies however these would need to be obtained at a TD Store. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We recommend reaching out to TD Canada Trust to learn more about their Cross Border Banking options. You are able to visit our friends on the Canadian TD Helps Team. You are able to do so here: https://go.td.com/1QBOF4U. Once you submit a question to our friends to the Canadian Team, we're sure they'll be glad to help.
You are also able to reach out to a Representative at TD Canada Trust directly for help. To take a look at their contact options please visit here: https://go.td.com/1woOVay.
We hope this helps find solutions for your concerns, Maggie. Have a good day.
