Welcome to TD Helps, Jacquelynn. We apologize for any wait when you called but we'll be happy to assist you today!
In order to let you know if we can assist you in potentially stopping a transaction, we would need to review your account with you to see which type of transaction it is. Please know that we cannot view your account via TD Helps as it is not considered secure. However, to give you a better idea from here, if you are referring to stopping a check or ACH payment, a stop payment may be placed. If you have a recurring debit card transaction with a merchant, we might be able to help with that as well, and even one-time debit card authorizations might be able to be released in certain circumstances. Please see below for more details on how to be assisted with each.
For a stop payment, there are a few ways to request this on a check or ACH that has not been presented against your account yet. You can accomplish this yourself via your Online Banking account. Once you've logged in here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq, please click on the 'Customer Service' tab and then 'Stop Payment'. Keep in mind that for ACH or check stop payments, you will need the check number, exact amount of the check, as well as who it was made payable to. Please note there may be a fee applied for a stop payment. Please visit: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg to view our fee schedule.
For stop payments, and also to discuss your options for one-time or recurring debit card transactions, may also give a call 24/7 to speak with a Customer Service Representative at 888-751-9000. Our Representatives would be happy to further advise you. You may also go to a TD Store location for assistance. For lobby hours and locations of TD Stores near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps, Jacquelynn! Take care.
