Want a passbook savings account for my grandson. This way he can see his money grow. He is 2 1/2 years old.
Plan on bringing him in weekly so he can learn to save.

Saving & Managing Your Money
In reply to Sharon, Parkland fl 33067
Good morning and welcome to TD Helps, Sharon. What a great idea to open a Savings account for your grandson! Children are keen observers and they learn how to manage money from their parents, their grandparents and they learn very young. Your attitude about money, and the actions you take to manage it, will have a lasting impact.
Although Passbook Savings account is no longer for sale, we invite you to check out TD Simple Savings here: http://bit.ly/1MpBONe as it now offers a monthly maintenance fee waiver for Customers age 18 and under. To view and compare all TD personal Savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM; which can help you choose the best Savings account for your needs. Generally speaking, a quarterly statement will be generated for Savings account; you will receive a monthly statement if any type of electronic transfer Debit occurs during the month (ATM, Direct Deposit, ACH automatic payments, Telephone Banking Funds Transfers, TD Bank Online Transfers).
To open a Savings account for your grandson, the custodian (in your case will be you) will need to visit us at your local TD Bank Store location, during lobby hours and provide a valid form of identification, such as a State License, State ID or Passport along with Social Security number. Acceptable forms of identification for minors include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card. To find out our Store locations and hours near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Sharon, we thank you again for choosing TD and we wish you a very happy holiday season!
