Thanks for stopping by TD Helps with your question, Brian.
We understand your concern and would like you to know that here at TD Bank, protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information has always been fundamental to the way we do business.
If you are looking to have a check deposited into your account, an account number is required at the time of deposit; however, you may wish to request the funds and receive it electronically via your TD Online Banking by using our Person-to-Person feature. With this feature, you will not need to provide your account number, just an email address or mobile phone number. For more information, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1h4ZIkL, and please see the Terms and Conditions here: http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
To use this feature, you’ll need to be logged in to your Online Banking on our website. Please follow this link which will bring you directly to the log in page: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. If you have not enrolled for Online Banking, that is okay! You can enroll for free by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your email address. If you do not have a debit or ATM card, please call our 24/7 Digital Banking Specialist at 1-800-493-7562 for help enrolling or feel free to visit us at any TD Store, during lobby hours. Please click here for locations near you: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Once you’re logged in, you must enroll for Person-to-Person payments. To do so, you would select the tab that says “Person-to-Person Payments” at the top of your online banking screen. Then, you will be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email address and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you. Next we will ask you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to request money by clicking on "Request Money" and entering the requested information and the recipient will get a link to pay your request. You will need the recipient's email or mobile number. Once the request is processed, you should expect to receive the requested funds into your account in the next three business days.
This feature is available for most personal checking and money markets accounts. To use these services you must have an Online Banking profile with a U.S. address, a unique U.S. phone number, an active unique email address, and a Social Security number. Your eligible personal deposit account must be active and enabled for ACH transactions and Online Banking transfers. For more information, read the Terms & Conditions listed above. Please note, there are limits in place for your protection.
If you have any questions or need assistance, our Digital Banking Specialists are standing by 24/7 and may be reached at 800-493-7562.
We hope we've helped you with your deposits today, Brian! Please let us know of any questions and take care.
