I'm not in the US right now.
I have sent 2 messages 2 days ago trying to close my checking account, and haven't got any feedback.
says the customer service will contact me within 24 hours of receiving my secure message,does it mean the messages are not received by the customer service.
anyway just wondering what are the procedures to have my checking account closed online.
I still have over minimum amounts on my account for waiving my monthly fee,But if I withdraw all the money to close the account, would they still charge the monthly fee since it falls below the minimum amounts?
and how do I know if the account has been closed, will I get any kind of confirmation send to my email?
by the way, I do not have SSN.

Since you mentioned that you are currently out of our footprint, your best option would be to close your account via Secure Email. If there is a balance in your account, we recommend transferring the funds then submitting your request. There is not a fee associated with doing so. You're welcome to send a Secure Message via your Online Banking account by logging here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq and clicking the Customer Service tab. You'll find a link to Send a Message there, where you can enter your request. Please be sure to specify the account number you wish to close if you choose this method.

Please note that if you'd like to close a Business account, this must be completed at any TD Bank Store location. And if you'd prefer to close a loan or line of credit, you're welcome to contact a Financial Solutions Group Specialist 24/7 at 800-937-5020.
