Thank you for reaching out to us on TD Helps and for considering TD for your banking needs! We'd be glad to help, Lyn.
In order to open a business Checking account, the account signer(s) must visit a TD Bank Store and be present for the account opening process along with the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security Number. For a non-resident aliens opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process.
Prior to visiting a Store, we suggest reviewing the types of business accounts. If you take a look here, http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe , the link shows the types of business checking accounts that we offer. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector Tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw.
It is also recommended reaching out to a TD Store prior to your visit to determine what documents will be needed to open a business account. To take a look at TD Stores you'd like to visit please click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988. You could also click here: http://bit.ly/SWDqsn to fill in a form to request a call form a Small Business Banking Specialist.
In regards to processing payments, we recommend speaking with your Representative during account opening about our Merchant Services. Feel free to familiarize yourself with these options here: http://bit.ly/1plkCwx.
Please know that any accounts held at TD Bank are U.S. Dollar accounts. Funds credited to your potential account will be converted to U.S. Dollars prior to becoming available for use.
We hope this helps, Lyn and have a good day.
