officer is Canadian and located in Canada. Can you tell me what is the process involved for him to be added to the account as a signing officer? Does he need to fly to do it in person? We are a US Company with a bank account with you guys. We would like to add an extra signing officer to the account but this signing officer is Canadian and located in Canada. Can you tell me what is the process involved for him to be added to the account as a signing officer? Does he need to fly to do it in person?

Thanks for visiting us at TD Helps with your question, Garry!
It sounds like you may be expanding your business. Congratulations!
To be added as a signer to your business account, he would need to come into a TD Bank Store in person. All signers for the business account would need to be present and an updated signature card would have to be signed by everyone. To find a Store near you or conveniently located for all signers, visit us here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to give our Small Business Banking Department a call at 800-493-7562, and then select option 2. They're available 24/7 to help with any questions you may have.
We hope you have a great day!

Can you tell me what other document do you need to complete the changing of signing officer process? For example, the authorization of the board? board resolution? authorization of the Company's officer ? Authorization of existing bank a/c signing officer? etc etc.

Welcome back, Garry.
You and your potential signers will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.). If any of the potential signers are non-U.S. residents, they will need to provide two forms of I.D. and fill out a W-8BEN form during their visit. Please review the secondary forms of I.D. mentioned below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
If any party does not have a valid photo I.D. available, we recommend reaching out to the TD Store you plan on visiting prior to your trip to determine what other forms of I.D. may be accepted to add a signer.
You are able to review TD Store locations and their contact information by using the link we mention above.
We hope to see you at a TD Store soon, Garry. Have a good day.
