Welcome to TD Helps, Vernon! We appreciate your interest in opening an account with us and taking advantage of all of our convenient online services. We'll be happy to discuss this with you.
First, we'd like to let you know that our Student Checking account offers the same standard services available with most of our personal checking products. Please see: http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd and click on the Compare Competitors tab for a bit more info.
If you would like to open a joint account, all owners can visit a TD Store with a valid form of identification such as a Driver's License, State ID or Passport and your Social Security number to open the account. Please check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a TD Store near you. For students, you'll also want to provide proof of full-time enrollment such as a Student ID or a tuition payment receipt to be eligible for the student account.
Just in case you'd like to review them, you'll be glad to know that TD Bank offers a wide array of accounts and we invite you to visit the below links for more information. Feel free to check out: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU to view our checking selector and visit http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF for the different types of checking accounts TD Bank offers. TD Bank also offers different types of savings accounts; for more information, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT, and for a personalized recommendation, click here: http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd. We also invite you to view more information about our Student Checking account. To learn more about the account, which includes no monthly maintenance fee or minimum daily balance for students under the age of 24, please visit http://bit.ly/S8Vejp. Additionally, the monthly maintenance fee is waived on a TD Simple Savings account when it is linked to a TD Student Checking account. If you have questions regarding our products, feel free to reach a Banking Specialist 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and we'll be happy to review any detail with you.
Once your checking account is set up, you'll be more than welcome to use our free Bill Pay service, which will be available to you after setting up your Online Banking account. If you are making a payment to a third-party company, such as for your phone or electric bill, you'll want to use the Bill Pay service for this type of payment. We invite you to take a look at our Bill Pay FAQs by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1gWIrp7.
Please note, if you choose to use our Bill Pay service, the payment method is determined by the payee. We always try to send the payment out electronically; however if the payee is not set up to receive electronic transmittals from financial institutions or if there is some information that does not match (i.e., account number or account-holder’s name), we process a paper check and mail it directly to the payee.
And as always, we're glad to help you. If you find you have any questions or need assistance with Bill Pay, please give one of our Tech Support Specialists a call 24/7 at 800-493-7562, using Option 3. Or, come see us at any TD Bank Store for further help!
Thanks again for your interest, Vernon! Let us know how else we can help and take care.
