I would like to know if/how we could set this up remotely so that we are ready with an account on arrival in the US, also so that my company in the US can start paying in my wages.

It's wonderful for you to join us on this Wednesday morning, Keith.
Thanks for considering us for your banking needs. We'd like to invite you to take a look at our Checking and Savings accounts. To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd. We even have a Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help with selecting a Checking account that is the best fit for you. To view and compare savings accounts, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
If you are a non-US resident, you will be required to visit a TD Bank Store. For hours and locations, take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Once you are ready to visit a Store, as a non-US resident you will need to bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Please understand, it is very important to contact the Store you plan to visit to open the account to confirm if any other information or documentation will be required at the time of the account opening.
If you're a US Citizen and have a US Social Security number you may either visit a TD Bank Store or give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Please note that during the new account opening process, we will need to verify your identity. And, depending on how long you have been outside the US, your most recent credit history may be taken into consideration for this purpose. If you visit a TD Bank Store in person, please have a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number with you.
When calling from outside US, please dial direct 1-856-751-9000 or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 if you are able to gain access to a land line.
Let us know if you have any other questions and please enjoy the rest of your week.
