I am a Canadian resident and I am applying for the TD convinience cross-bording account in the USA. When entering my information, the web page accepts only 9 digits for the passport number. My passport has 10 digits. Should I enter only the 9 digits and ocntinue to the next steps? I also called to 1-877-700-2913 adn I tried to open the account by phone but it was not possible neither. I already have a Canadian TD account.
What should I do to open a TD account in the USA.
Thank you for your help!

Thanks for your interest in an account with us here in the States, Rose!
We're sorry to hear about any trouble you had with the account opening process.
Even if the online option was not working properly for you with the identification you had, you have a few options remaining to open your TD Bank U.S. account.
Your first option is to reach our Cross Border Banking team 24/7 at the number you mentioned, 877-700-2913. From your message, we believe you may have experienced an issue with the authentication process and we'll be happy to assist you again with the account-opening process by phone.
You'll also be glad to know that we've recently added the option to visit any TD Canada Trust branch to open a TD Bank U.S. account! Feel free to find your nearest branch here: http://bit.ly/1woOVay.
Or, if you will be visiting the U.S., you can also come see us at one of our Stores here to open your account. We're available at these locations and times for you: http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you choose this option, we do recommend that you contact your preferred Store ahead of time to ensure you have all the necessary documentation available during your visit.
Thanks again for choosing TD, Rose! Hope this helps and have a great weekend.
