Thanks for joining the TD Helps Community, Annie.
An option you have to transfer money out of your account is sending a wire transfer to your other financial institution. To send a domestic wire, you will need the name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number. Please see the following link for all applicable fees included in our fee schedule: https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK.
You could also use our Bill Pay through online banking. Please note that typically payments sent to individuals are processed via paper check. Please log into your account and click on the Bill Pay tab. Next, click on Manage Your Bills tab and fill out the payee information. If you should have any questions, feel free to give one of our 24/7 Tech Support Specialists at 800-493-7562.
If you are inquiring about closing your account, you may request to close your account and have any available funds in your account be sent to you by check. You can mail a request with the following instructions:
▪Your account number(s)
▪Your request to close the account(s)
▪Your current address
For your security, please have the letter notarized and mailed to your Home Store. Your home Store is the TD location you visited to open your account. If you are unsure of which Store is your home Store, take a look at the link provided above.
If the balance in your account is already zero, or you have a remaining TD Bank deposit account that funds can be transferred to, you're welcome to send a Secure Message via your Online Banking account by logging it at https://go.td.com/1eaISlq and clicking the Customer Service tab. You'll find a link to Send a Message there, where you can enter your request. Please be sure to specify the account number you wish to close if you choose this method.
If you're not currently enrolled for Online Banking and wish to enroll for your personal accounts, you may use our self-service option by visiting https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM or Debit Card number, your Social Security number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
Please note, an account closing request generally takes 2-3 business days to be completed.
Last but not least, if you have a Business account with us that you'd like to close, this request must be completed at a TD Bank Store location.
We hope this helps and please take care, Annie.
