As you have mentioned you are interested in opening a Money Market account, please check http://bit.ly/1vrMLtb to view the balance requirement and additional info about our Money Market accounts. You will be able to order checks when your new Money Market account is set up.
Once you have decided the type of the account you wish to open, you may visit www.tdbank.com or click here: http://bit.ly/1fN7u4i to take you directly to the account opening application. You may also feel free to call us directly 24/7 at (888) 751-9000 with any questions you may have and set up your new account via telephone.
As always, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank store to speak with a banking specialist regarding new account options to determine what product type fits you the best. To find out TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. You will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
If you are a Non-US resident and do not have SSN at this present time, you will need to bring two forms of identification with you and stop by your local TD Bank store during our lobby hours to set up your new account. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature - State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature - Foreign Driver's License with Photo - US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date - College ID with Photo - Alien Registration Card with Photo - Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Please be advised that because of Regulation D, a Government regulation which places limitations on the number of monthly transactions that can be made from a Money Market and/or Savings Account, you are limited to six total electronic debit transactions per statement cycle. Please note, that customers who make more than six (6) of these transactions during the statement cycle will be charged $9.00 for the seventh (7) transaction and for each subsequent transaction.
The limitations on Money Market and Savings Accounts include:
1. Pre-authorized ACH – Automated Clearing House debits (health club fees, insurance premiums, car payments, mortgage payments). 2. Pre-authorized transfers (overdraft protection, transfer to Holiday Club, transfer to checking account). 3. TD Bank Online Banking and Telephone Banking transfers (debited from the money market or savings account). 4. Request made by phone or fax for transfer 5. Wire transfers
