Thanks for visiting us here at TD Helps, Joel.
For more details on the fees associated with foreign currency exchanges, we invite you to check out: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. Specifically, please review "International" for more information.
To order foreign currency, including exchanging U.S. Dollars to Euros, feel free to visit any of your local TD Bank Stores. Check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a TD Bank Store nearby. You can expect to pick up your currency within 2-4 business days of the order at the TD Bank Store you specified.
Additionally, as exchange rates changes daily, if you'd like to receive the latest exchange rates, we invite you to connect with us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or speak with the Specialist during your visit.
You mentioned you are planning a trip to Europe next month. If you have not done so and plan on using your TD Debit Card, to avoid any interruptions to your TD Debit Card usage, we recommend placing Travel Notifications on your checking account. You can contact us at the number provided 24/7 or visit us during lobby hours.
If you're setup for online banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first log on to your TD Bank online profile. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." If you are not set up for Online Banking, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Keep in mind that you will need your account number, Social Security number and ATM/debit card handy to complete the enrollment process.
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu. You may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc .
If you have any questions while you are traveling internationally, you can reach us at (856)-751-9000. Additionally, you can call collect from a landline at (215)-569-0518.
We hope this helps. Have a great one.
