Thanks for reaching out to us on our forum space, TD Helps! We appreciate your interest in banking with us, and we'd be glad to discuss the best options to get started.
If you are looking to open a business account to make transactions including: deposits, withdrawals, wires, ACH, etc., all Authorized Signers must visit a TD Bank Store and be present for the account opening process. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
If you would like to open an account, prior to visiting a Store, we suggest reviewing the different Business accounts that we offer. If you take a look here, http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe, the link shows the types of business Checking accounts that we offer. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone – you can reach them by dialing 1-855-278-8988. You could also click here: http://bit.ly/SWDqsn and complete a request for one of our Small Business Banking Specialists to reach out to you. Or, since you're outside the U.S. right now, another way to reach us is on our international number 1-856-751-9000, or you can reach us collect with Operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 and we can connect you.
Once you've decided on the right account for your needs, if you'll be in the U.S. you (and your business partners) can stop by your local TD Bank for assistance with the account opening. Although is not necessary, we recommend contacting us 24/7 using one of the numbers above if you'd like to schedule an appointment to come in. Or, if you'd like to reach out directly to the TD Store in which you intend to open your account, for information on our lobby hours and locations please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Keep in mind you will need to bring the following documents with you to open a Business Checking account: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-Resident aliens opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID (including a non-U.S. Passport) and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business. Other documents may also be needed depending on the type of business you have, and we recommend discussing this with a Specialist prior to your Store visit.
Please also note that if you would like to proceed in opening a business account for your funds, the business source would need to be registered in the U.S. beforehand with a U.S. Tax Identification Number for tax purposes.
We hope this helps, Dizzy, and have a good week.
