Welcome to TD Helps, Laura.
This is a great question!
We're happy to announce that you'll be able to use your TD VISA Debit Card for purchases at locations that accept VISA across the globe! You'll also be able to make ATM withdrawals from any machine that displays the Visa or NYCE logo.
As you mentioned that you were hoping to perform an ATM withdrawal in Honduras, please know that, depending on your account type, you may be assessed a fee, and we invite you to check out our Fee Schedule here: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg for more information.
Additionally, if you're unable to find an ATM that is compatible with your TD Bank VISA Debit Card, it may be used to obtain a Visa Cash Advance at your local financial institution.
To ensure that you do not experience any acceptance issues, we recommend placing a travel notification on your account, or if you have relocated to Honduras, you may also wish to change the address on your account, if you have not done so already. There are a couple different ways in which you may request to either place a travel note, or to change your address.
You may first call and speak with one of our knowledgeable Banking Specialist. For your convenience, they are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached at 1-888-751-9000. You may also call collect, with operator assistance, from any landline phone by asking the operator to dial (215)-569-0518. Once on the phone, a Specialist will be happy to either place a travel notification, or submit your address change, whichever you may prefer.
Your second option would be to send us a Secure Message directly from your Online Banking. To log into your Online Banking, click here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet signed up for Online Banking, don't worry, as you may do so from here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. To complete the enrollment process, you will need your debit card number, account number, Social Security Number, and a valid U.S. email address. If you have any trouble, please don't hesitate to contact us at the number mentioned above.
Once you're able to log into your Online Banking, you can find the 'Message Center' towards the upper left hand side of your screen. To send a message, simply click on the "Send a secure message' link. If you would like to add a travel notification, simply select 'General Customer Service' under the subject line, and please be sure to include your travel dates, as well as any locations. From the Secure Message screen, you may also select 'Change Mailing Address'. After doing so, you may update your address information, and can even update your phone number and email address.
If you have any trouble with your Debit Card or sending us a Secure Message, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the number mentioned above, and we'll gladly help.
Thanks again for stopping by today, Laura. Take care.
