Thanks for writing in to us on TD Helps today, Virgal and we appreciate you considering a credit card with us!
First we're happy to tell you that TD Bank does offer Secured Credit Cards, and you can apply for one at any of our Stores. We'd like to let you know that once we receive your application, TD Bank will submit an inquiry to the Credit Bureaus to determine your eligibility based on your overall credit history and any other related factors. If you have questions regarding the approval process, you're welcome to connect with a Representative at one of our locations and feel free to check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find one nearest you.
Our secured credit cards are available to anyone who wishes to establish or rebuild their credit history and is secured with funds held in a TD Bank Savings account. You're welcome to take a look here for the Personal Credit Card Agreement for both the TD Easy Rewards Secured and TD Cash Rewards Secured: http://bit.ly/1wtjCwy.
Once you visit a Store to apply, if your application is approved, you'll then want to establish the collateral savings account for the card. Once this is complete, the card can be issued. Although applications for these cards can only be made at a TD Store, if you have any questions you're welcome to give our Card Services Specialists a call 24/7 at 888-561-8861.
Also, if you would like to take a look, we have helpful information on part of our website called “Building a Good Credit Score." You can see more by visiting this link http://bit.ly/1nUzsyy. It will provide you with details you might find helpful on how to build your credit. It will also give you tips on how to maintain your good credit once it’s established.
Thanks for your interest and for choosing TD Bank, Virgal! Hope this helps and please let us know of any questions you have.
