It’s great to hear you want to open an account with us, Renuka We’ll be glad to help you with the details you will need to start the process of how to open them.
We offer many types of Checking and Savings Accounts that can fit your needs. Take a look here: http://bit.ly/1f9fEn9 for detailed information about each Checking Account available. We recommend taking a look at our Checking selector tool here: http://bit.ly/ChckSelctor. It will provide you with a personalized Checking Account recommendation. You should also take a look at http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT for more detailed information on each particular Savings Account available at TD Bank. You may find it helpful to check out our customized Savings Selector tool, found here: http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd.
We currently offer many ways in which you can open an account with TD Bank. You’re able to call our 24/7 Customer Service Line at 1 (888) 751-9000, visit our website at http://bit.ly/1g5vhXQ or stop by at any local TD Bank Store. To find the nearest TD Bank Store please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Keep in mind that to open the accounts you will need to supply a valid Identification (State License, State ID or Passport) and your Social Security Number.
If you open an account through our website, you can make your first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit. If you open an account over the phone, you will have up to 30 business days to make your initial deposit. Finally, if you open an account at a TD Bank Store, you will need to make an initial deposit to the account you have selected. There would not be a minimum requirement to open the account; however, some accounts have requirements in order to have certain fees waived. We would encourage you to review the account description links above prior to visiting a Store.
We hope this helps, Renuka and have a good day.
