kissimee), will I be able to use any store (e.g. miami) as it were where I originally opened the account or should I try to select the store that will be more convenient for me in the future as I don´t live in the US? I want to open a US account for savings and to have a local account for tranfers between a brokerage account I also plan to open in the US at another institution (maybe Ameritrade). I live abroad and I`m not a us-resident so I´m looking for something convenient and hassle free.

Thanks for your interest in opening a business account with TD, Andres. We'd be glad to help.
In order to open a new account with us via online, you'll need to have all the following information with you: Your U.S. Social Security number, a valid U.S. residential address within TD footprint (from Maine to Florida) and one of the followings: Driver's license, State ID, or Passport issued by the United States.
As you're writing in from India and if you are a non-US resident at this time, in order to open an account with us, it will be required for you to visit us at a TD Bank Store location, during lobby hours. If you will be visiting U.S. in the near future, check out our Store locator for our hours and locations here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
When you are ready to visit us at a TD Store location, as a non-US resident you will need to bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a valid non-US Passport and the second form of valid ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Please note; it is highly recommended to contact the TD Store you will be visiting to open the account in advance to confirm if any other information will be needed.
Lastly, we invite you to review the many different types of Checking and Savings accounts we offer. To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://go.td.com/1aFGBWX or use our Checking selector tool http://go.td.com/1vW1xnU for help selecting a Checking account that is the best fit for you. To view and compare Savings account products, click on http://go.td.com/1kO6zg0, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings selector tool at http://go.td.com/1vW1DvM which can also help you choose the best Savings account for your needs.
We hope this helps and have a good day!

thank you very much for your answer, although there is still the issue whether I will be able to use any branch (in terms of services) as the branch in which I opened the account or whether I will have to go the branch where I opened my account for certain services. For example, I´ve learned that to make an international transfer from TD one has to be present at the branch, will I have to be present at the branch where I originally opened the account or any branch in any US location, or Canada for that matter, can be used as a substitute for the original branch?

Welcome back, Andres.
You are able to visit any TD Store from Maine to Florida for assistance with your account as well as initiating transfers.
Please know that though TD Bank and TD Canada Trust share the same TD Shield, we are separate institutions. Because of this, you would be unable to visit a TD Canada Trust location for assistance with your TD US account.
We hope this clears things up, Andres. Have a good day.
