Thanks for reaching out to us on TD Helps, AJ. We're sorry for any confusion and we'd be happy to clear it up for you.
If you are the Sole Proprietor on your business and currently do not have an EIN, you should be able to open a business Checking account by using your Social Security number. If you are not the Sole Proprietor on your business, an EIN number might be necessary to obtain. Click here: http://1.usa.gov/1OSzUbA to determine if you need an EIN.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000. You may also stop by your local TD Bank Store location. To find out the nearest TD Store near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps and have a great week, AJ!
