Thanks for coming to TD Helps with your question, Audrey.
We'd be more than happy to provide you with the needed information to open business Checking account with us. When you're ready to open your account, you'll want to visit your local TD Bank Store. On your visit, there are a few things that you'd want to bring with you.
If your business account is going to have multiple signers, please be sure to bring them with you for the account opening process. Those who are going to be signers on the account need to bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident alien opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification number for your business.
If you're business is incorporated, there are some additional documents that you'll want to bring with you. You will want to bring Formation Documents or Certificate of Good Standing or State Website Report AND Fictitious Name Registration (if applicable), Board of Director's Resolution/By-Laws (if applicable. We always suggest calling the TD Bank Store that you plan to visit prior to stopping by to make sure you have all the needed information.
