We appreciate you stopping by TD Helps today with your question, Anthony!
When you cash a check, please note that if the check is not drawn on TD Bank, it can still be cashed at any TD Bank location with your valid photo ID as long as you have sufficient funds in your TD account to cover the amount of the check (the amount available in your account should be at least equal to the amount of the check). To find TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. Please also keep in mind that because you are cashing a non-TD check, we must hold the amount of the check against your available balance just in case the issuer of the check does not have sufficient funds to cover this check. Therefore, you will see this transaction listed online as Pending Verification.
If you deposit a non-TD check with a Teller, the first $100.00 is made available immediately. Usually, the rest of the funds will credit to your account the following business day. During this time, the transaction will also be listed online as Pending Verification, as it is not available for withdrawal yet.
Because there are exceptions that may cause delays in funds availability, we invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. On pages 38-41 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
If you need additional information or assistance, our dedicated 24/7 Banking Specialists can be reached at 888-751-9000.
Thanks again for visiting us with your question, Anthony. Have a great day!
