If I linked my savings account to my personal checking account for the rate bump, but did not link it to my debit card, is it possible for someone who gains access to my debit information to also empty my savings account?

We understand your concern, Alison and we'd be glad to discuss.
Linking your savings to your checking account is a feature that we have in regards to some of our account types here at TD. When this link is made between qualifying accounts, you're able to receive certain features and benefits like the one you mentioned in your question.
We would like to set your mind at ease. As you mentioned that you did not choose to link your savings account to your debit card, you, or anyone else, will not be able to access the funds from your savings account using your debit card by visiting an ATM because the account information is not present.
If you would like to discuss this with a Banking Specialist, feel free to call them 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit any TD Store. http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We also invite you to take a look here http://bit.ly/1npPddy at our Security Center for helpful tips and tools to keep your account and identity safe.
We hope this helps, Alison and have a good day.
