The Pay Date is the date your biller should receive the payment.
For example: If the pay date you chose in Bill Pay was 07/09, the check should be received by your Biller on or prior to this date if no delays or exceptions occur during mailing. Kindly note that the check will not be deducted from your TD Bank account until the biller actually cashes or deposits the check. For this reason, we recommend checking with the recipient directly to see if they have gotten it. It's possible that they received payment but have not yet processed it. Kindly note that the date you submitted the bill payment is not related to the pay date.
