Thanks for bringing your concerns to TD Helps today, Kim. We'll be happy to help.
Based on the information you have provided us with, it sounds like you may have a hold placed on your account by a merchant, which is generated when a Debit Card is swiped for a purchase. Typically speaking, this is a temporary hold produced when a payee requests to validate that an account is active. This temporary hold is not necessarily equal to the actual amount charged, and is commonly debited as $0.00.
When the payee presents the final receipt for payment, the amount you approved for payment will post to your account, and the hold will be released on the following banking day.
However, if you do not recognize this transaction, we recommend that you contact us directly so that we may review your account with you, and take the appropriate steps in the unfortunate event that fraud has in fact occurred. You may reach a Banking Specialist directly at 1-888-751-9000, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As always, you may also visit your nearest TD Store location. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope that this clears up any confusion, Kim. Enjoy the rest of your day.
