When traveling, you can make an ATM withdrawal from any machine that displays the VISA or NYCE logo. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your Debit Card out of the country. If you are unable to find an ATM that is compatible, with the TD Bank Debit Card, it may be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance.
There are limits in place when making ATM withdrawals. For information on your daily limit amounts, please take a look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (Pages 43-44). Please also know that there is no limit to the number of transactions you're able to make with your TD Checking account!
Prior to your trip, we recommend placing a Travel Notification on your account to avoid any interruptions to your TD Debit Card usage. You can do so by calling our 24/7 Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000. After account verification, our Specialists would be more than happy to help place a Travel Notification on your account. If you prefer, you could also visit your local TD Bank Store. To find a TD Bank near you, we suggest you check out http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you are enrolled in Online Banking, another option to notify us of your travels is to send a secure message using www.tdbank.com. To send a secure message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) you will be traveling.
If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security Number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
By placing a Travel Notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set.
