I attempted to purchase clothing via UNIQLO Online Store but when I went through the shopping cart and entered the finalizing page, I received an error. I did not receive any emails regarding my purchase from UNIQLO but there is a Pending Transaction in my account for this purchase that I did not make. How will this affect my balance and will I have to pay for the goods that I did not purchase? Thank you so much.

Hi Jun and thanks for connecting with us on TD Helps today.
We'd like to let you know that whenever you make a transaction, it will first become a pending transaction before posting to your account. Pending Transactions are authorized or submitted items that have not yet posted to your account. Pending Transactions may affect your available balance and when items post, they are then reflected in your statement history.
After all pending transactions are deducted from that Account Balance, your "Available Balance" is the amount of money in your account you can use without incurring an overdraft charge. Some things to remember:
- Your Available Balance is reduced by any pending debit card transactions (purchases and ATM withdrawals), and includes any deposited funds that have been made available.
- Your Available Balance does not reflect checks that you have written that have not yet cleared, or payments made in Bill Pay by laser draft (paper check) that have not yet cleared. You will typically not see these items pending.
- Your Available Balance also does not include electronic payments in Bill Pay that have not yet been paid, or debit card transactions that have not yet been processed by the vendor for payment.
- If you exceed your available balance, you may incur an overdraft fee.

As it seems like you have a question regarding a particular pending transaction on your account, we invite you to call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 for assistance. You may also visit us during lobby hours to discuss this in person. Feel free to look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a listing of hours and locations.
Hope this clears some things up for you, Jun. Have a nice day!

Are the records of "pending" transactions kept with the same rigor and availability as transactions that actually have posted? Could an ATM withdrawl be considered a "pending" transaction at some point?
